Answering God’s Call

Associates for Biblical Research

The Shiloh Excavations offer a unique opportunity to take part in one of the largest and most significant archaeological projects in Israel. Led by Associates for Biblical Research (ABR), this hands-on dig invites volunteers to work where the Tabernacle once stood for over 300 years—at the very place where the Ark of the Covenant resided and the people of Israel gathered to worship.

Participants receive in-the-field training in archaeological methods, work alongside experienced professionals, and uncover artifacts dating back to the biblical period of the Conquest and the Judges. Beyond excavation, volunteers deepen their understanding of Scripture, experience life in the Holy Land, and contribute to research that explores Israel’s worship, daily life, and sacrificial system. For many, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect faith, history, and the land of the Bible.

Hundreds of faithful Christians have joined us at Shiloh. You can be part of one of the largest archaeological excavations in Israel and experience the Holy Land like never before.
