REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY

Replacement Theology is the belief that the Church has completely replaced Israel in God’s covenant purposes—that God’s promises to the Jewish people have been canceled or transferred to Christians alone. At Biblical Roots Hub, we take a different view. We affirm that God’s covenants with Israel remain everlasting, and that Gentile believers are “grafted in” (Romans 11) to Israel’s story—not replacing it, but joining it. Understanding this helps Christians appreciate the fullness of Scripture, honor the enduring role of the Jewish people, and celebrate the beautiful unity God is building between Israel and the nations.

Dismantling Replacement Theology

In this article I will attempt to identify and define replacement theology, supersessionism, and the original meaning of the church.

“I think we do not attach enough importance to the restoration of the Jews… It is certain that the Jews, as a people, will be restored to their land."– Charles Spurgeon

GOD, OR AMERICA FIRST?

The Church stands at a crossroads — to bless God’s purposes through Israel or to replace them. Scripture makes clear: the choice carries consequence.

7 PROOFS REFUTING REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY

“Has God rejected His people? By no means!” (Romans 11). Paul repeatedly affirms that Israel’s calling remains, for God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable (11:29).

CHRISTIAN ZIONISM or REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY

Christian Zionism and Replacement Theology point in opposite directions — only one aligns with God’s unchanging purposes revealed in Scripture.

IDENTITY THEFT

Scripture affirms that Israel remains entrusted with God’s covenants and promises (Romans 9:4), and that His calling is irrevocable (Romans 11:29). Any theology that erases this identity stands in opposition to God’s Word.

“Paul’s warning to Gentile believers is that presumption against Israel is both dangerous and contrary to God’s plan." – David Stern
