Answering God’s Call
Leket Israel
Leket Israel offers meaningful, hands-on volunteering opportunities that directly support Israelis facing food insecurity. Each year, over 120,000 volunteers take part in gleaning, sorting, and packaging rescued food that is distributed to those in need across the country.
Volunteering activities include Harvest Helpers (gleaning produce in the fields), Leket on the Move (sorting and packing food at logistics centres), and professional volunteering opportunities. Activities take place at locations such as the Rishon Lezion fields and the Gan Haim Logistics Center in central Israel. These roles are suitable for all ages, with children welcome when accompanied by an adult.
Volunteering must be coordinated in advance by completing the online form. No prior experience is required, but all volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes and appropriate clothing for outdoor or warehouse work. Field volunteers should also bring a hat and water. Transportation to and from volunteer sites must be arranged independently.
Leket Israel volunteering is a powerful way to serve practically, work alongside people from around the world, and take part in caring for the land and people of Israel.
