Listening for His Voice
Daily Bread

“All Scripture is inspired by God,” wrote Paul in his second letter to Timothy—referring to the Hebrew Scriptures he had studied all his life. Yeshua Himself affirmed the importance of all Scripture when, after His resurrection, He explained everything the prophets had spoken to the two on the road to Emmaus.
When faced with the Word of God in its entirety, where do you begin? Though I had previously read the Bible chronologically, I had never read it all in one year. Daily Bread provided both the structure and discipline to do so, with journalling deepening understanding and creating a lasting record of insight.
Apart from Sabbaths and festivals, each day includes four readings: Torah, Prophets, Writings, and an Apostolic portion. Readings generally follow sequentially, offering a rich balance of history, poetry, prophecy, and narrative. It is, without doubt, the best Bible reading plan I have encountered—so much so that I purchased extra copies simply to give away.
